Pup, rotten auto correct.
I live too close not to consider making this my first rally!
I will keep checking back for updates, and read up on "rally how to".
Hope you can join us, there is. No how too. Just camp and enjoy!
Sbradley. I hope you do decide to join us, Check out the thread attending a rally as a first timer in the rally info. Tab, as some rallies slightly differ, this gives you a lot of good info. On what could be expected.

Re: Lake Erie Regiong Rally , Geneva State Park Ohio
The water slides and the arcade at woody's world on the strip are being auctioned off tomorrow. Something new will open up in May.
Poll ends this Wednesday
so the rally is now set in stone, July 21-23rd 2017 at Geneva State park, Geneva Ohio, so siked, seems like a great place to hold this rally!, Geneva on the lake is a perfect , a lot to do there .. winerys, swimming, shops for the ladies, beautiful sunsets, and a boardwalk feel, so ample activities for both Adults and Kids!! since Ohio only accepts reservations 6 months out to date, we can start booking January 21, 2017. I personally like the front section of the campground myself, but open for opinion on which loop most would prefer to hold our gathering..
sounds good, now I have to pick a good site for my new to me 5vr
has a date been selected?
Yes, read above, July 21 to 23
Great we will see if we can make it. Will not know until Feb of 2017.
looking at the campground on line, I like the front section also. pateintly waiting for the reservation window to open.
Middle loop looks likes there is more shaded sites, plus there are a few service hook-up sites.
The few full hookups go instantly, front loop is a bit more open, I have no preference.
Hoping for a nice turnout!
I never actually stayed here before so open for suggestions, however as it seemed geneva was going to be the poll winner, I did do a quick drive trough the campground, I personally like the front section myself as stated before, more open grass area, sites seemed to be bigger, especially for holding a potluck with 30 plus people or more, if I was to pick a site today I think I would try getting 3 to 6 or the backside of the bathroom sites 23 to 30 if I recall numbers correctly ( don't have current map on hand ) the downside of the front section is sunlight exposure, being July and hot . could be more shaded in the middle section as it is more wooded. But personally not that impressed with sites , just my opinion, but those liking more wooded sites, or lack of a/c this could be a better fit for you. As you are more than welcomed to choose what you like better. The 3 full hookup sites are nice , concrete pads, and would be a good option for bigger rigs, like Lance, or Jay (rocky roo) with a little coxing I hope he comes. But do imagine they go fast. Also want to note, anybody who would rather not tow, the cabins are nice, sits on lakeside , sleeps six, and a short walk to rally site in whatever section we choose. We can book sites together or seperate and deciced on a rally site whatever works best is fine with me. Looking foward to this rally, as we should have a great time, hoping for a great turnout, as I'm sure it will be no matter how big or small. just be ready to book as the window opens as ohio only books six months out compared to pa at 11
John, I think we may be still kicking this one around. Only catch is that we are running a bit short of vaca time this year due to Rocky Roo's Great Pennsylvania Adventure, that just got booked at French Creek last night, as well as a trip or 2 that we are trying to leave available to go see my daughter that just moved to Morgantown WV in September. So, hang tight, we may still make it, just not positive how things are working out just yet, still trying to coordinate vacation schedules since Michelle has less time than I do.
How many people do we have planning to show for this one so far?
As for sites, I don't need full hookups for this short of a trip, just a bigger site. That said, I have to admit i am kinda looking forward to using full hookups at French Creek for the first time. I have never had them before and 9 days in South Dakota last year left us about 3 days into being creative with full waste tanks and refilling the fresh tank of the Roo one gallon at a time.
