This is what they do at the Sewer, where there are nearly 1,000 camping spots during Merlefest. If you camp the lower level, there is no quiet time. But, if you go up and over the hill, that's considered quiet time area after midnight. People have always understood this. If a little music wafts up the hill, no one blows a gasket because it's ALWAYS good music, sometimes including the famous folk who will wander over for some hard core jamming!!8)

If you promise to put me under the lights, I'll pack my Drum set! [LOL]

But seriously, I'll not pass judgement on the lights and fog machine until I'm camping next to you. At that point, if I can look away and not still be distracted, go nuts. However, if it impedes on the darkness in my camper once I turn in(most likely after quiet time has begun), I'm going to figure a nice way of voicing my interpretation the following morning of "Quiet Time" not being limited to "Sound."

    fiero67,

Are there photos anywhere of the '65 Ford stepside referenced in your signature line? [:)O]
I know, for a fact, that I would rather look at some shots of it rather than a dark video of your living room...jus' sayin' [;)]

Didn't say that I didn't like your living room. It's just that an old Ford trumps most things in my book.

Personally, I wouldn't want to be near you. Sorry. We don't have a television or a stereo system in our pup. Only music is a weather radio. Sometimes we play it low. I always bring my natties and sometimes my special vodka mix. I just don't see how a fog machine and laser lights could not infringe on my space if I were next to you. We go to bed early and get up early.

    Fiero67,

To be honest, at first I thought you were pulling everyone's Leg? But now I think your serious. Here in the Midwest, you won't see this type of camping at State Parks or National Forest campsites, but you will see this type of camping at private campgrounds. Nothing wrong with this type camping, in larger private campgrounds pretty much anything goes, from weddings, parties, I guess now a Night Club on wheels!

This is not my idea of camping, but I see nothing wrong with this at the right location and I think you will know which location will accept this type of camping. Good Luck with your new project!

I also realize this is lights, but for the 2013 Arizona Spring Rally, we were literally in the middle of the forest.

We were boondocking and half mile away entering the forest there was a group of campers with FULL AMP PA system and music going until 4AM!!

They must have had generators going to get the volume of sound to carry half a mile and it was loud for us! They had a DJ person and I could not even identify what kind of music it was??? and we were at least 50 miles for any town.

The point is 50 miles into Federal land w/o a armed confrontation, there was nothing we could do.
And I think that is what you are asking here is for input, for how appropriate this is camping.
    Thank you for asking. :)
