    Hey all,
We have family coming in from out of state that want to camp 1st weekend in Nov. They have an RV and we have the PUP. They would prefer to go somewhere East Texas. Any suggestions?

State Parks, there are many choices in your area.

Yes, I know about State Parks, LOL. Problem is many are already booked. I am looking at Martin Dies though.

Tyler is nice but I am guessing they are booked since it is one of the popular ones. We have camped at Cooper lake which is nice. The doctors creek unit is a little less crowded than the sulfur one but has less amenities.

You could look at Rusk. Former state park which is now private and has the Texas state railroad there. Neat steam train trip to Palestine. We did it as a cub scout trip and had a lot of fun. That was a couple years ago.

Tawakoni is not too bad either but they might be booked too.

    Good luck!
