Last trip of the season ??

Last trip? Not quite! We're planning on going out one last time Oct 16, 17. Only 2 nights due to son having school on Monday. Hopefully the leaves will be under change and it would be a beautiful weekend! Then we'll clean 'er up, put 'er away and (not so) patiently wait til next summer!!

 

Just getting started! Headed to Sedona, AZ for Labor Day weekend. Then mid-Sept 2 week vacation. Starting at the beach in OR. Probably a few nights in Yosemite on the way back to AZ. With AZ weather camping season never ends.

 

We are gong to try and camp throughout the fall. We will opt out of
Jan/Feb and then get back into it by Spring. Spring baseball will
put a damper on camping a bit, but we will work around that.

We were into the first week of November last year also and plan on it this year to hopfully.

 

Our last trip here in Ontario will be the middle of October but we're headed down to South Carolina in November and Florida in February to camp. Then it will only be a few months before we can start camping here again.

 

We're not finished either. We have weekend trips planned once a month through the Texas Rally in February!

 

Now next year i hope to get the pup out in February and take the wife to Myrtle Beach for our anniversary

 

It may be chilly, but our last night camping this season will be Dec. 31. Our first night camping next year will be Jan. 1.

 

Just rub it in Brenda!! I want to come but wife cant get off work.

 

Our last rip this year will be the fall ralley at Caladonia. Hopefully Bev will be recovered from back surgery enough to enjoy herself!

 

We're not finished yet! 3 nights over Labor day then 3 nights Thanks Giving week. We'll try to get 2 more trips in between Labor day and Thanks Giving. One in late Sept. and one in mid Oct. If we manage that we will have camped 10 out of the 12 months of 2009.

I'll park the pup after Thanksgiving for 2 months and start camping again late Feb 2010.

Got to love it

 

DW, DD and I will be camping at Pymatuning State Park over Labor Day weekend. I'm planning on doing another trip later in the fall to take in some fall foliage.

Labor Day's not the end for us, we will be camping this weekend though. Back to Potters Place in southern Maine, our third weekend there this summer, it has become a favorite of ours. Then I'm pretty sure, we will be going to the Great Bay Music Festival at Dover Point, it's only like ten minutes from home. With over a dozen confirmed bands, (and they'er still booking them), GBMF is billed as a mixed music festival, featuring Rock / Reggae / Funk. This being only the second year for this festival, and not attending last year, I'm not sure what to expect, but I'm sure it will be a good time. Then what may be our final trip of the season the fall rally at Gunstock I would like to keep camping but I don't think Emily will be too interested as it gets colder. But it has been a great camping season:

Still, as I read through this thread, I can't help that you folks from, SC, FL, TX, AZ, etc. with your longer camping season, really got me green with envie.

Fall is the best time to camp. My opinion only. I usually go until Oct 31st, or longer, here in the Northheast.

There's a bunch of us that belong here and there.

 

We are not even close to being done this year. We have 3 trips planned in sept and one in october (columbus day weekend). We will camp at least one more time in november if i get in gear and plan it. We will also camp at least once a month in dec, jan, feb, march weather permitting. Camping in the snow can be fun. Besides it is a excuse to make a bigger fire.
