Did the same abt 6 yrs. ago. All still working, too. ( big eBay user)
We even replaced the outside side light by the steps since we dry camp often and that step light is nice.
    Happy Camping!

Ive been contemplating getting a couple magnetic mount work lights (oval looking led lights at harbor freight) and just sticking them to the metal ceiling supports.

The post right above yours is the amazon link. Post 25. They fit my 2000 Coleman Westlake camper.

In my case the fixtures were cheaper than the bulbs. The result was LED fixtures that were brighter using the single setting, and twice as bright as the incandescents when using the double. I got the LED lighting from Amazon for $7.99 per fixture.

Sure probably very good, but why spend more?

I bought my bulbs from Amazon, others have bought from Ebay. I just looked for ones that had a warmer temp so they were closer in color to incandescent bulbs which I prefer, and I got ones that had a voltage range instead of the straight 12V ones. They seem to be more resistant to voltage fluctuations that you see in a 12V system, been a couple years and no failures yet. Made a huge difference in mine.

I've opted for bulb replacement. Unless the new fixture gives you functionality you didn't have, I think replacing bulbs is easier over the long term. The actual LED elements tend to last, but the electronics driving them are often the weak point. New fixtures means if those electronics die, you have to replace the whole fixture again.

As for where I've purchased my "bulbs", I went to superbrightleds (.com, of course) and picked from their selection. While I expect components and such are made elsewhere, the seller is based in the US and has more skin in the game than a random Ebay seller in another country. So far I've found they've worked out well both in my camper and vehicles.

I got sylvania led bulbs at the auto parts store. They weren’t cheap, but they’re designed to hold up to the bumping and vibration from towing. 3 ceiling lights and the porch light.
