Drove up to Levi Jackson State Park near London, Ky. I really like this park.. and the CG is open year round. Of course.. visiting in February (on a cold day) nobody was there camping. There is a huge covered shelter with dozens of pic nic tables. Also a campground store.. but it wasn't open this date.

There's a nice swimming pool and a miniature golf course near the CG.

I think any site would be "OK".. but I liked the ones lettered "A", "B", "C" and "D" the most. They seem to be bigger.. and have fresh gravel.. and some are paved. Some of the sites in the lower area.. seemed like they might be pretty wet if it rained during your camping trip.

There are several pull through sites.. with plenty of room. The CG is pretty much wooded.. and most sites have a considerable amount of shade.

RATES are $20 - $25 per night. All the RV sites have water and electric.

The park and CG is on the outskirts of London, KY.. I passed several restaurants and a WAL-MART on the way to the CG. I would guess you are within 3 or 4 miles of all kinds of shopping and/or eating.

LEVI JACKSON STATE PARK is at London, Ky.. exit #29 off I-75. About 90-95 miles north of Knoxville.. It's about an hour and a half from where I live.

Here's some photos of my trip to LEVI JACKSON:

We visited Levi State Park quite a bit growning up, even had family reunions there. It is a really nice area with Cumberland Falls close by. You could spend a couple days there then drive down and spend a couple at Cumberland Gap National Park. Both have lots to offer in hiking and families.

Same here, we used to have a family reunion at this park for many years until it was moved to a local hotel, not really sure why they moved it though, I always enjoyed the mini golf as a kid. From what I recall it's a very nice park and we may try to visit this summer.
