Took the PUP in for some work, got it back and the power lift wouldn’t close bc the tech said the batteries were so drained. He used a drill to crank it down.

Charged the batteries (checked voltage, reading at 13), still nothing. Can’t crank it or use drill to open bc when hubby tried the TOP OF THE SCREW popped right off.

We know nothing about wiring on these things, but he is an electrician so he has some basic wire knowledge (he’d be so flattered I said that, lol). They swapped out the kill switch when they removed the kitchen in the shop, is it possible that has something to do with it? The radio in the camper turns on, if that’s worth anything.

I assume if I bring it into the shop they have some way of opening it?

A bit late, but I just read this. I have a Working electric winch that I took out of mine. Has a bent winch frame but still works ok. Will send to anyone for the postage. I used it for 2-3 trips before I replaced it with a new ($300) one. Long story on how it bent, but ir started with a dead battery,

Can I see a photo of that winch? Can you estimate what postage would be to California?

Let me take on in daylight tomorrow. I'll figure postage too (probably Priority mail box).

Damn! That winch is different from the one that I have. Thank you, but I'm afraid I'll have to pass. Surely someone would be interested.
