Hi all, Just found this site. The wife and I have been casually looking at used pop-ups for a few years now and never really found anything that we felt was right. I think we're getting close. We'll be towing with a 2017 Outback, so we need a relatively small one with brakes. I also need to get a controller installed in the OB. We're in the Philly burbs. Anyhoo, I'll be around.
Oh, hey. I drive through part of your lovely town every day to/from work. Live in Aston, work in Paoli (and have unfortunately been going to office throughout the whole pandemic). Thanks everyone for the welcome!
We have friends that moved to SC a few years ago, about 45 mins from Charlotte, NC. When they lived near us, we would often go camping together.
That's a beaut, Clark! Yeah, I think I may have seen you around! If I see you again, I'll give a little double honk and throw the peace sign.
We're gonna go look at a trailer on Saturday! Trying not to get too excited so we don't make a bad decision. We've been wanting this a looooong time.
A great place to go camping (dry camping) once you get a unit is Hibernia County Park. Only $15 a night but only weekends. I'll be there this weekend relaxing.
I can't believe I've never heard of that park. We've tent camped at French Creek many times, but I don't ever recall even hearing about this one. Thanks! Enjoy your weekend!
Hello and welcome from central PA. I grew up in Lansdale not far from you guys. Traveled to the Malvern area many times for corporate training but never noticed that tailgate but last time I was down that way was 2006. Loved the National Lampoon reference too Cousin Eddie!
We bought a PUP!!! Well, we put a deposit on one and will pick it up in two weeks, which will give us time to get a brake controller installed. It's a 2017 Somerset Chesapeake: https://www.rvvaluemart.com/product...west-somerset-chesapeake-chesapeake-1241077-7 We had to drive about 90 minutes to Bethlehem, PA to go see it. Funny enough, we were going to go to a place in NJ that had the exact same model, just with AC added for $1000 more, but it sold yesterday. This one was our backup plan. We had already made plans to take a few day trips in September, so now at least one of these will end up being a longer trip in the PUP.
