I love flying, there's just nothing like the freedom feeling of being alone at 5000 feet, just curious if there's any other pilots on here?
    Happy camping/flying

YUP! Had my certificate now since June 2008. Fly Cessna 172's, Diamond DA-20's from the rental fleet. I started the IR training, but had to stop. Hours are down since DD #3 came along and also the rates went up due to the fuel costs,... but, I agree, 4500 or 5500 is the place to be for me (VFR flying). My older daughters enjoyed the breakfast runs too!

What are you wanting to work on ky?? My DH is an EMS Helicopter Mechanic, or, "Aviation Engineer". [;)] If you want a lead on a good company to work for, give me a holler sometime. DH has been with his company for 19+ years and they have bases in 46 states, so if you "get bored" where you're at, odds are there's an opening somewhere you might want to BE![A]

LOVE it!! Forwarding to DH right now. LOL We were in a Taco Bell years ago and the kid at the register wasn't the brightest bulb in the box. He saw DH's shirt and asked if he flew the choppers. DH said, "No, I keep them in the air!" The kid smirked at him and was walking off when......I, in a rather loud voice said, "Oh yeah, it's SO less important than stuffing tacos!!" Smartarse kid!! [LOL] [LOL] [LOL]

Grew up around aviation. My father flew, along with grandparents, aunts and uncles, and brother. Can't afford to fly, but work at an airport the weekend proceeding EAA for a Cessna to Oshkosh group. Then it's off to Oshkosh to work at Airventure for the week.

Private pilot SEL and SES. Former owner of a Cherokee 140. Most of my flying was done before kids. Kids = less money and less time to fly. Also the airspace changes around DC post-9/11 took a lot of the fun out of it.

I still work in the industry and hope to get back to flying some time.
