Hi to all, nice website with lots of good words and advice. I bought a used Fleetwood camper 1999 model. I raised the roof only to find that it was not high enough to properly mount the door. I started poking around and found this website which led me to adjustment of the lift cables, and lubrication of the whiffle screw. My problem is I have made quite a bit of adjustment and it still doesn’t seem to be enough to raise the door properly. The other issue I have now is the front left corner will not go all the way down far enough to latch the lid down. I went back in and loosened the cable for that side totally slack, there’s barely Anyang thread left I cannot find anything inside the camper that would be preventing that side of the lid to go all the way down. Anyway I’m having a hard time getting the top to adjust all the way up and and getting that one corner to latch all the way down. I’m thinking now maybe I need to go to adjust those four pulleys that are at each corner but I’m a little bit reluctant because things are going the way I thought they would. The floor is open for discussion thank you.

I would have started with those 4 pulleys first. Is the trailer level when popping up?

I agree. The pulleys are the coarse adjustment, the cables are the fine adjustment.

Thank you sirs, yes she was all leveled up .... I guess I thought only minor adj. was needed. Will go back to the pulleys and move those, then see what I got. The other question was is the 45 1/2 to 46 inches from the bottom of the rubber seal on roof to the top of the aluminum plate holding the struts ..??

Your '99 Utah is spec'd for 46" to 47" from the top of the body rail to the underside of the rubber perimeter seal. If yours is less then that would explain why the entry door doesn't fit properly.
