Well, I made the jump to the dark side! My new 2020 Keystone Springdale Mini. Looking forward to exploring new places that could not be visited in a pup.

Just out of curiosity, what places can you visit with a TT that you can't in a pup? Seems like the opposite would be more likely.

None really. You can go anwhere mostly. Some of the other parks , yellowstone etc with bears only allow hard side campers. So no pups. But other then bear country you good to go anywhere with both. Unless there picky, some also dont like pups in there campgrounds. I wouldn't go there even with my TT if i know.

Yellowstone and Glacier National have been on my list of places to visit but the wife has been uneasy about going into bear country in a pup.

You know, thread drift here, why do all the TT have the battery compartment next to the camper and on the pups its reversed. Seems to me the majority are like that. Anyone?

Sounds and looks like a nice trailer. Does it weight 4400lbs?? I just looked for its specs.

@LonesomeDove Welcome to the Darkside. We've found it at least as much fun as camping under canvas.

@Balthisar - we have found a few places that we're much happier in the TT than in the pup or tent. So far, we have not hit anywhere with hard side only restrictions, though a few places seem to have higher bear cautions than they used to have. There are some places we stop overnight that we would either not do with tenting, or would not be a restful, due to road noise, campground lighting, etc. Our season was extended further when we went to the TT, so that has an effect too - it was usually late April - Sept. in the tent, March-Oct. in the pup, now we've gone out as early as Feb., and into Dec. (I did do a trip in Dec. in the pup, but not routinely). The storm we had over (U.S.) Thanksgiving would not have been good in tenting - it was rather interesting in the trailers. (Our friends had a branch blow off a tree and graze their Casita.) The popups and tents gave up, I know some were damaged.

Only one of the campground in Yellowstone, Fishing Bridge, doesn’t allow pups. The others in the park do.
