Well, she's not a pup, but she sure is sweet! We went to an RV park in Bastrop about a week ago for a 2-night maiden voyage. The TT tows like a dream, much more stable on the road than the pup ever was (even with sway control) and you could almost hear my Tahoe going, "Ah, this is more like it!" An hour and a half (including drive time) and we were there, set up and ready to chill out. Superb! Everything works on her; we even tried out the A/C just to make sure it worked. Cooked nice dinners both nights and a yummy breakfast the last morning. Comfy, cozy, wonderful! Breaking camp was a breeze...so nice not to have to mess around with a slide or stuffing canvas inside. We are well pleased.

Didn't do much, just chilled out. Drove to the two state parks and checked them out for future trips. We'll definitely go back and take the bikes...wonderful cycling area. The only glitch was that I am suffering mightily with allergies and that put a damper on my activities. We have "Cedar Fever" here this time of year and it makes ragweed allergies look like a walk in the park.

Anyhow, we are pleased with our decision to go with a TT. DH is actually excited about going out again! For our lifestyle, a TT is definitely the answer...we can be more spontaneous and get away more frequently. And, as our residence is tied to our job, at least we'll always have a roof of our own over our heads!

We did see quite a few pups in the state parks, even some Niagaras. We wondered..."Gee, could that be our old camper?"

    Peace to all!

Glad to hear all went well with the maiden voyage and that you are happy with your new TT. Someday I hope to be able to go to the darkside (blasphemy, I know ) but for now I will enjoy going camping in my PUP every chance I get. Have fun & happy camping!
