My Rockwood 2516G (2007) wont crank manually. Batteries are dead, power hasn't juiced them up yet so we tried to use both the crank then the socket. Gave up after a minute or so because we saw NO signs of movement. Does it just take a really long time to get going? Or is it broken? It's always popped up fine when plugged in. It was taken down yesterday at the shop with a drill bc the battery was so dead.

You need to access the mechanism and see what's happening. It will be hard for anyone to help with that little info.
    Perhaps a picture.

Some say it will take 20-30 minutes to hand crank it

I believe it, the ratio is like 100 to 1.
