March 2023 - What did you do for your camper?

Bought a set of battery box brackets that allows me to lock the battery box on my tongue. I ordered them on Saturday and are scheduled to be here on Thursday.

I was looking to add a layer of protection for my lithium battery and this seems fits the bill. It's not fool proof, but it sure will make it more difficult for opportunistic thieves. They are going to have to make a lot of noise to get to the battery now.

Sadly I cancelled a trip for March. My company is going through layoffs and don't feel comfortable taking a vacation potentially giving them an excuse. [V]. This month is going to be very interesting. Perhaps I could take my birthday weekend off. Haven't even seen my camper since it was put in storage. I did buy that break a way line that was mentioned in the February post. So will want to install that. Honestly feeling so stressed lately I haven't been in the mood to work on anything.
Good luck, hope it works out well for you.

We’ve been packing clothes and dry goods in these 16”x24”x8” hefty boxes. Kind of annoying to have to rotate the boxes every time we need to get in a lower bin. I had some old 1/2” plywood pallets from work and put this organizer together. The pieces slide together like a puzzle and the hefty boxes slide in and out without all the shuffle. Ended up being more stable than I originally anticipated.
I was able to go from 6 small bins for different kitchen items to 2, we bought my husband 2 , sturdy looking, bins for him, their a decent size, he brings so much crap it's not funny. So I'm hoping he uses one for tools.

It’s March 12. It just stopped snowing…again in Minnesota. Our pop up is 100yds from the driveway at my in laws farm with 18” of snow on the ground between plowed drive and it. We need it out on 4-1 so I can prep and clean her up for our first road trip of the year. More snow is on the way. Ya, I’ll be able to get it out, we have a tractor, trucks and lots of plywood but I’d love for it not to be a weekend affair. I put our battery on the trickle charger and collected sap to cook down for syrup as I dream of our multi-state April road trip!

We're supposed to get two more inches tomorrow.

I have an appointment to get some warranty work done on April 15th and I'm having doubts that I will be able to get my TT out of storage (in Wisconsin) in order to get it to the appointment. To get it out of storage, all of the snow needs to melt and the ground need to firm up so I can drive on it without sinking into the turf surrounding the storage area.

We still have 4-5 foot mounds lining the street up and down the street on both sides of our house where the plows came by and pushed the snow onto the yards to make room for more snow when the have to plow again.

Beautiful weather at the moment, so it's temping to pull the over off the TT, even if it is over 2 months until the first trip, However, we are supposed to have snow and rain again by the weekend, so it stays under wraps.
We bought big orange semi-ball shaped gutter guards, but trying to put them one with the cover in place is going to be a no-go. We'll have them for next winter, though. We're not convinced they'll attach on our gutters, but I managed to buy an Amazon Warehouse deal, so for less than half price, we'll try them,
The new Big Agnes shade structure arrived, so we packed the 2 side-walls for it into its bag, before we lost track of them.
I decided to replace the picnic table cover, the old one is a few years old and the coating is flaking off. Ordered some outdoor canvas, which I hope works well;should be less frustrating to sew on than the packcloth (although I've done plenty of that over the years). We don't cook or eat at the picnic table much these days, since we have portable tables we can use, but it's good to have for packing packs and other tasks. The cover, secured in place by mini bungee cords, makes it much nicer - no gaps to drop things through, covers up the splinters, etc.

It's been snowing frequently enough here to really do anything other than make reservations and plan my upgrade to the current solar setup. Currently 100 watts on the roof and a 200 watt suitcase. Going to upgrade both controllers from PWM to MPPT and probably replace the 2-50 watt panels on the roof with 2-400 watt panels.

Snow??? whats that? Kidding I am originally from Connecticut.. I dont miss it at all.
If we get 1/2" of snow here in North Carolina - schools close for 3 days and all the milk, bread, and water are gone from the shelves[LOL].
The funny thing is the snow is gone the next day

Well just got my order in from Amazon. I picked up a new fresh water tank fill cover, a power cord cover, some LED bulbs and a locking roof latch. Will probably be a month before I can get them replaced (due to weather). Now I need to find the spray lube for the pulleys in my lift system. Open for suggestions on which type to get. Also what grease do you use for your wiffle tree? Thanks.
P.S. I WANT TO GO CAMPING! SNOW SNOW GO AWAY.

Since it is dividend and coupon time for REI, we headed there to day. Mostly bought things for Courtenay's backpacking - new sleeping pad (3" thick) and pillow - it's amazing how things keep getting better and lighter/more compact.
I bought a Goal Zero battery pack, which can be charged in our Goal Zero Yeti (we don't have the proper connector for our decade-old GZ solar panels, which are in use for the Yeti anyway), in the vehicle, and at home. It will be more flexible in use than the Yeti, so we think it will be a nice addition. Much easier to take it outside to charge the Kindle r phone while sitting outside.

I looked at lots of furniture, coolers, camp stoves, etc. and decided we are actually still well stocked on those. We did order a new chair from REI a couple of weeks ago, though.
