We just got back from the long weekend at Greenbrier. It was lovely. We love this park, and though it was full (no vacancies) it never felt crowded. They had an ice-cream social on Saturday, and naturalist gave a talk. They also had movies on Sunday for the kids. The weather was great.

We have a large family group. Three sites and 18 people total.

Our only “issue” had to do with the handicapped accessible bathrooms. There were none in the “C” loop, which is the only loop with electric. My mom uses a scooter and has to have electric to charge is over night. But, there were no restrooms for her to use. Luckily for her, her camper is self-contained, so she had “facilities”.

What is funny is that the lake itself is one of the most handicapped accessible ones we have ever been to. There are many paved paths through the woods and to the water, nature center, camp store, etc. so she was able to go on “walks/rides” with the rest of us, especially the kiddos.

All in all, we will be back, but my mom said she would not stay for more than 2 nights next time. Unless, the facilities are better.

The bath house was older, but good. the host couple in loop C (the electric loop) were very good, friendly and kept it clean.

    the lake is GREAT.
