Anyone camp in the Mountain Home area? I found a KOA which I'm comfortable with, but thought I'd get a little input about the area and camping. Thanks

Sorry for the late reply, but if still interested around Mountain Home, you have to check out Bruneau Dunes State Park. Year-Round camping with Idaho's only public observatory to star gaze. Lots of fun!

Bruneau is nice. Three Island Park at Glenns Ferry is real nice and quiet, about 30 miles from Mtn Home and right on the Snake River.

The mosquitoes were terrible at Bruneau Dunes when we were there last week.
