Levelers

Everyone has mentioned to not forget to pack your levelers. Do some campers not come with them attached? Or do you mean the level to make sure the camper is level.

I see white water hose on the list ... how long? Is 25' enough, or is 50' a better bet?

Does anyone use surge suppressors? No, I don't have any big screen tv's or anything, but circuit boards in a/c, furnace, who knows what else.

Locks to keep someone from hauling off with your camper?

Re: Helpful hints

Great suggestions for items needed in the camper. Being new to pop up and camping I'm taking advice from those who have been there. I get to do my maiden voyage next Wednesday, and very excited. [PU] [TV]

I recently asked my dad (long time camper, I'm just getting started) the same hose question. He said more is always nice, even if you don't need it--the one time you DO need it, you'll be glad it's there.

Do they make the surge protectors that connect from source to the camper? I planned on using them inside the camper, but think one that camper plugs into is a great idea!

Re: \

This year we found that one or two oscillating fans running outside of the camper help to keep bugs away, especially when we are eating.

Walmart Online has the 50'ers pretty inexpensive... like $25... I have 2 of them that are in the PUP..first time we went out I had a 10' white hose and let me tell you....that didn't get from the side of the camper to the post....figured 100'... i should be good no matter what the situation :)

our first trip with this camper ( first one we've had that had water features ) I thought I was cool with 4 15' sections of remnant hose I got cheap..... Nope, first campsite had a community water spigot ( 6 stacked Y adapters ) and 95feet from the camper ( and across the road to our loop ) I ended up borrowing hose from a friend we were camping with ( he'd been here before ).

still haven't gotten more hose, but it's on the list.

We like to cut a piece of remnant carpet and fit it to the inside of our pup...when it gets too dirty we throw it away and put in another one. My wife likes this because it keeps her feet warm in the winter .
