Hello,
I have a 2005 Fleetwood Niagara, new to us. First time cleaning out the water lines and holding tank. When using either the water hose attached to the trailer or the drinking water tank pump, my taps will not turn off. I can turn and turn them but nothing happens. Do I need new taps? The ones in the bathroom are working fine. Also how loud is the water pump supposed to be? Thank you so much for any help.

The faucets? How many are malfunctioning? Mine has a shower inside, a shower outside, and a sink with faucet. Which ones are malfunctioning?

At any rate, if a faucet won't shut off, it's defective or worn out. You may be able to rebuild it, but it's probably cheaper to just replace it with one of similar hole spacing. They're available from RV supply places like eTrailer, State Trailer, Camping World. And they're cheap.

hi thanks for your reply, Its just the inside "kitchen sink" I think the cold water tap don't know for sure. Do you know any Canadian sites that would have anything. I've been having a heck for a time finding things that fit my camper up here. 2005 Fleetwood Niagara. Thanks so much.

That sounds similar to when residual water froze inside the faucets of my Fleetwood. The water just kept coming. As davido mentioned, replace the faucet.

Since you have a highwall PUP, you can get away with pretty much any faucet you want.

Here is almost a direct replacement for what is probably in your PUP: Faucet from Amazon.ca and a $38CDN faucet
Canadian Tire might have some as well but I'm south of the border.

Amazon, or any RV dealer will have replacement faucets.. you can also use any household faucet from Rona, Canadian Tire, Lowes, Home Depot, even a local plumbing store... just remove the old faucet and take it along to match it up..

Also how loud is the water pump supposed to be?
Most of 'em are really loud, but it's not usually the pump itself at fault. It's usually the plumbing vibrating against something. There are many ways to mitigate the sound:
Water pump silencing kit
Foam pipe insulation
Hold down brackets to anchor the hoses.
Mount pump itself on a rubber pad (mouse pad)
I am using all of the ones above, and you can barely hear it.

There are other ways, use your google fu with the phrase "How to quiet an rv water pump".
