Love it! How does the roof rack hold up? My roof just doesnt seem like it would be very sturdy. You can see humps in it there I assume the previous owner forced it closed without making sure the curtains and such arent bunched up. I learned that the hard way!

Seems like a rear bumper would be better but if an accident were to happen, bye bye bikes...

I do have a low area on the passenger side near the rack bars kind of behind the AC. I noticed after a night trip last weekend I had standing water the next morning after returning(closed of course). I now have found where the leak likely was before I caulked everything after purchasing it. There is a damaged spot above the toilet. Just cleaned it and covered with a blank white yard sign for now. Labor day will be our 2nd trip ever. Im hooked!! Did last labor day up in NE Oklahoma then a night trip with the boys at the deer lease to get prepared. Doing NE OK again this labor day. Would love to take the bikes.

You're towing with a Saab Sonett? At least it's the V4 and not the two-stroke 3-cylinder but doesn't your trailer weigh nearly as much as your car?
The Saab is about 1700 lbs with a full fuel tank and me. The Colorado was close to 850 (400 road, 350 curb, 90 on tongue) when packed for that trip, so, yeah, about 50% added to the car's weight.
Held 70+ mph for hours on end, and returned 28.0 mpg as an average for that entire 4k+ mile trip.

Here's mine. 1996 Ford F-150, straight six 5-speed pulling a 2001 Coleman Utah. Does OK, no mountain climbing for me (or if I do, gotta go down to 4th or 3rd!).

Those 300-6 are beasts! I'm in the same boat, if I am going up any hills, or the transmission won't stay in lockup in 4th gear, i put it in 3rd. Really with the 4L60e's was a 5 speed, there needs to be another gear between 2nd & 3rd.

Yeah, the reliablility of the 6 is beastly, I just can't kill the thing! No power to speak of, it'll haul the Coleman but it isn't too happy about it..... Think I shoulda got a smaller pop up!

I just bought this used Starcraft 1404 and will be pulling it with my Honda Element until I find something else. It seems to be working out so far. Someone suggested putting Sumo Springs on my Element to help with the weight.
