    Has anyone posted a list of commonly-used abbreviations (CUA) for the PopUpPortal? It’s driving me crazy (DMC) and I have searched for “abbreviations” and “acronyms” but can’t seem to find a thread to help a newbie make sense of the jargon being thrown around. In normal writing situations (NWS), you’re supposed to spell out the first use (FU), as demonstrated above, then it’s okay to just say FU and everyone knows what you’re talking about. Or you could be DMC with CUA and be seriously misunderstood.

    Here are a few I’ve found:
    TT
    DD
    DW
    NTU
    DH
    IMO
    BLM
    USFS
    CG
    GK
    SP
    MIL
    SRSP
    DO

    Perhaps we could create a “sticky” post and place it somewhere obvious for newbies.

    The list of acronyms seems to have gotten lost in the software change last spring. (I tired it about a month ago and it was dead.)
    NTU = new to us or new to you, depending on context
    DO = dutch oven
    GK = Grand kids
    FCFS - first come, first-served - i.e. non-reserved campsite
    SRSP - not familiar with this, though might be able to figure out from context

    SIL - Sister-In-Law

    Shouldn't this be CUA?
    But don't get to hung up about abbreviations. They are not required script and I myself do not use them.
