I recently purchased a used starcraft 2411 from a private seller. They assured me it had all parts, but when I took it camping, the front bunk started to split! After doing a bunch of research, I see now that it was missing some supports for the bunks I am hoping beyond hope that someone with the same trailer can measure some of the supports and take pictures for me so that I can have a local metal shop fabricate me some new ones.
Hey your in luck i have the same pup. Although i just put it down in prep for storm. On the front there r 3 poles. One that is "U" shaped with legs, which hooks onto the front slots on trailer body(same as 2 do in back) n then there are 2 legs that come down to the frame where 2 other poles also sit.
AMAZING. I really thought it was a long shot posting this! The guy that sold it to me swore up and down it wasn't missing anything :/ Will you be taking it out at all after the storm? If so, can I BEG you to send pics and dimensions? I've called multiple RV places, and parts places, but without dimensions or a part number i'm screwed. And the manual doesn't give me any part numbers that I can see
Ill get the measurements n a pic asap, but to give u an idea . The 2 hinged poles on the back is pretty much what i think your missing . Its one big "u"shape with 2 hinged legs. And it stores on top on the beds when everything is closed up.
No way, for real? I'm gonna go buy a lotto ticket. So I have a set of angled poles on each end, but no u shaped pole for the front and no hinged pole for the back. I am horrible at drawing, but included a sketch of what the poles I have look like when set up. And a pic of part of the front.
The hinged poles more or less wedge into the cleats (for lack of proper term for them) under the beds
Let me know how ya make out. I have a couple suggestions u might use . Just rust checked mine today n working on a wheel well....oh once i open her up again ill check if i have part numbers ...managed to find a manual for it somewhere
So, I haven't attempted to make poles yet. Thought I'd source them out first. Your photos helped me get part numbers, which then helped me get a quote from jayco - over 500 for the 3 I need :/ so I asked a local sheet metal place for a quote to fab. $600. So. Looks like I'll be creating my own. I'll let ya know how that goes.
