New Feature

I finally found an add-on for the forum software which allows me to build a proper acronym database which will automatically display a definition when you place your cursor over the acronym. You don't need to do anything extra when entering your new thread or post. The system will automatically insert the proper description. It will even do this in old post throughout the website.

Example: My DW backed the TV into a tree at the CG. [LOL]

Now if move your cursor over each or the acronyms above, you'll see a TOOL-TIP definition for each.

It will take me a bit to populate the database but because of the work of members like @WrkrBee, a lot are already in a few existing threads. I just have to harvest the information and put it into the proper format to import it into the new database.

Its funny because my phone does this allready, but it isnt camping related. So mikes comment would be :
I would get in trouble for calling DW (Deutsche welle a media company) a DA ( district attorney) !
So this new feature may help me.

This add-on will also allow keywords to be defined.

Example:
curbside
street side
Shore Power
Inverter
Converter
Tongue Weight
Wagonmaster

It will also allow for URL links from the acronym or keyword.

Example:
PUGS
KOA

I'm hoping this will really help everyone. I've been putting off doing anything with acronyms until I could put something like this add-on in place. Just having a list on some thread is a PITA.

Its a bit misleading as a green hyperlink on the mobile rendered view; unless I just haven’t figured out the way to display the definition (if at all possible).

The problem is that when viewing with a mobile device, you can't see the TOOL-TIP because you don't have a cursor. If you try tapping on it, nothing appears. I've asked the developer and he says it does but I don't see it. Please let me know if you see the TOOL-TIP on your mobile/smart device.

All I get , when on my phone, clicking a green acronym is the standard "copy cut paste " and occasionally a "translate" popup.. this is with an android.

Blue hyperlinks worked..

I'm trying out some other options for using these TOOL-TIPS.

Example:
BAL

This one would give a description and a link to the product.
