    Hello all!

My name is Ryan. My wife Laura and I live in Hillsboro, OR with our two daughters (4+6) and our Labradoodle, Sammy.

Neither my wife or I did much camping growing up (none in my case) but we both love nature and wanted to explore more. With kids, my wife was extremely reluctant to tent camp but suggested getting a pop-up tent trailer.

I got a wild hair about a month ago, found one, and we packed the family up to go check it out and ended up buying it!

    It's a 2002 Coleman/Fleetwood Santa Fe.

We bought it June 25th and have already been out to four great campgrounds in Oregon, and have at least four more trips booked for the rest of summer.

It's been a perfect fit for the four of us, plus our dog.

Excited to join this community/forum for tips, tricks, and repair/maintenance help.

    Peace,
    R

Hey! We'll I've been hunting quite a bit on the Reserve America App and I have the advantage of booking Thu-Sat (my days off are Fr/Sat each week).

    So far we've been to:
    -L.L. Stub Steward
    -Fort Stevens
    -Detroit Lake
    -Cape Lookout
    -Silver Falls

All of them have been fantastic.

We're headed to Nehalem Bay this weekend. Then back to Fort Stevens the week after that.

Yes! Thats L.L. Stub Steward in Oregon, pretty cool because it's only 45 minutes from our house and is a State Park. So far we've only been to Oregon State Parks, but they have all been really cool spots, clean, lots to do and see. Oregon is so beautiful!

You just listed off all of my favorites [:D] I love camping at the State Parks! A few more I like are:-
Champoeg State Park - literally 30 mins drive from Beaverton
Fishermens Bend - near Mill City
Timberlake Campground - private RV park, near Carson
Milo McKiver - near Oregon City
Kiwanda RV Park, Pacific City - Typical RV park but great location for a beach getaway
Tumalo - near Bend so a little bit further away

We just recently went for the first time to Waterloo County Park, near Lebanon. Lovely park but sites were really close to each other. We are headed to Paulina Lake Near La Pine on Thursday, another one of my faves.
