Hey everyone just a quick introduction... I am in my late 20s, married with three kids (5, 3, and 1) from San Antonio, TX. Have been (tent) camping all my life and just this year decided to get a popup. It's a 1995 Jayco 1406... in good shape considering its age. Still learning about all the systems (and trying not to break anything in the process!). I have a basic/intermediate understanding of plumbing/electrical/mechanical systems... just enough to be able to research and learn how to do it myself... and just enough to get in over my head sometimes! ha. Anyway, I have been gleaning a lot of valuable stuff from the forums and I will try to search for my answers as best as I can and not bother you guys with stuff that has already been answered, but I'd appreciate any help you can offer this noob along the way! Thanks and Gig 'em
Hey there! Welcome from Corpus Christi! Just FYI, theres a popup rally this weekend at Canyon Lake. Check the rally threads if interested. Oh and.... HOOK'EM HORNS!
Welcome and Gig' EM from another San Antonio resident. Just ask questions. You can post a general question or send a PM to people, they will answer you.
Thanks for the warm welcome, everybody. I am excited to start tinkering/customizing my NTM popup. I saw the meetup at Canyon Lake but I have a Family Reunion this weekend in Boerne. I thought about swinging by just to say Hi though since it's not too far out of the way Unfortunately I live in an HOA restricted neighborhood so I can't leave my PUP in the driveway more than 24 hours... and its the beast Jayco 1406 so it doesnt fit in my garage. I have it at a family members house about 30 min away but I can't be messing with it after work or anything only on the weekends Slowly but surely I'll get it the way I want it! Already have five trips booked between now and September: - Lake Somerville - Pedernales Falls - McKinney Falls - Mustang Island - Bastrop
When are you headed to Mustang Island? That's my backyard practically and we haven't hit that one yet. My iPhone did this
hey welcome to the site.. All the way from Prince Edward Island. Canada on the EAST cost you will find you are on it for hours. Looking. Stuff up. Cheers. Wade bruce
Hello and welcome form South Central Kentucky. Gettin' it the way you want, I believe is akin to "finishing the house." Every trip is a learning experience. Every trip ads to the ideas to "Make it better." The criteria for starting is: !. Can I sleep in it and stay dry and comfy? 2. Can I safely tow it to and from the campsite? 3. Pack up and go. BEAR
