I am posting this new topic to introduce myself since I purchased a 2014 Flagstaff 227 on Saturday. I live in north of Atlanta and will be towing with a 2011 Honda Pilot 4WD. My wife, two sons (6,9) will be camping with me. I have been really wanting a camper for at least two years. Finally pulled the trigger after a lot of research and finally deciding on what best fit my family's needs. I look forward to camping this season and hope to take a 4 to 5 day camping trip for Spring Break. A lot of the beach sites in FL are booked so I am looking around. I am also looking for somewhere local to break it in since I can't really camp in my driveway.

if you put your rear stabs down, and then lift the pup off the hitch you may damage your rear stabs, depending how high you have to go to get off the ball........correct if me if i am wrong people

Thanks for the welcoming. I'm thinking about camping at FDR State Park in Georgia. It is close to Callaway Gardens, the wild animal Safari and Providence Canyon. Has anyone had any experience there?

My husband has taken the oldest boy camping at FDR. He said it was very nice. Basically, all the state parks we've camped have been extremely well-maintained, clean, and enjoyable.

    The list includes:
    Vogel
    High Falls
    Fort Mountain
    FDR
    Chattahoochee Bend
    Florence Marina

Hope you have a great trip!
