    Hi all!

I've been lurking around for a while now and just finished my first weekend camp out in my new to me popup. I grew up camping in pop ups, but for the past 3 years I've been tent camping with my girlfriend. For the past few months we have been looking for a popup to replace my parents 1988 Coleman Sun Valley, which was damaged over the winter by snow and trees, then finished off by mice. Long story short, they inherited a 1992 Jayco 806 and I finally decided to buy my own pop up.

Last month I purchased a 2008 Jayco 806 for $4k from a local dealer. I've been scouring the web, dealers and craigslist since November and this was a deal too good to pass up. It had everything I was looking for, and more. It came with a 3-way fridge, heat, new battery, A/C prep and actually is way bigger than I grew up in. The dealer also threw in a Class III hitch for my 2013 CR-V EX AWD and a topped off propane tank.

This past weekend I did my first camp out with my girlfriend and family with the new Jayco!

I also have a 100w solar setup to charge my battery during the day and it works out great. We were using the heat for about 2-3 hours before bed and another 1-2 hours in the morning and the battery would be fully charged by lunch.

It's a 20 ft x 30 ft tarp, I like to be able to have my chair outside and the windows open in the rain. [:D]

And if your roof ever develops a leak, you'll never know it, lol.

It's dry weight is 1380 lbs, including battery and propane. I have about 100 lbs of gear in it so I'm around 1500 lbs when in tow. I don't tow with water in the tank.

    30 lbs of tarp? [:D]

I am still in awe of that thing. It is like a garage in the woods....now I am going to have to find one...

I just got a white tarp of the same size that I will be using for my coming trips. The tarp goes up before the camper does, which means I always setup or take down dry! I only use tarps on half of my trips, some campgrounds I go to don't have large trees, but at least I know this roof wont leak.
