My mom and I are fixing up a Jayco and as I was working on it We found an awning and screened porch. We have some poles. I can't seem to find instructions on putting it up.

Is the awning attached to the roof, or is it a separate awning?

Hi and welcome.. We have a 1987 Jayco JayKing 6 Deluxe.. I double checked our manual and of course there isn't anything in there about awnings.

We bought ours about 1 month ago.. love it.. but yet to take the awning out of its bag.

however I do believe I did see a channel on the outside roof which I'm assuming is for the awning.. may be the same on your 86

    Welcome from Southwestern Ontario !

I've seen different types so not sure if this applies, the spring loaded posts go between the roof and the edge of the awning, the adjustable ones (you need to rotate one pole while holding the other one and then extend it) go vertical on the edge of the awning.
Once the awning is up, lay the screen on the floor, you should have two sides and the front portion, some also come with a skirt that covers the bottom open portion of the trailer.

Welcome and if you get it set up don't let the wind put a pole in your roof!

My job is to make the cushion covers and eventually curtains. We have the fabrics from a thrift store in greens and blues. I think it will turn out well. Later I will figure out how to use drop box and show the fabrics. I'd like to paint the cabinets, but that won't likely happen this season. (Theresa/firemom's mother)
