This guy is an all-star! I can't believe how great his fifth wheel looks. It could easily be mistaken for one that just came out of the showroom.

That guy actually posted on the Portal a while back. Seems he got a lot of visitors from this site.

I believe a lot of folks on this site have done just that ( "built a PUP from scratch") or close to it.

I saw that last year- he did a great job but not exactly from scratch- like 75% of all campers are manufactured in Indiana and he lives in general area- got frame off rv assembly line that closed down and a bunch of good deals on surplus rv goods in the area. hid did a great job- wish I could score some of the deals he did but being in Tx. alot harder to find/get.

If u check out his site -he buillt his house kinda of same way- registered to be a dealer to score a model home way cheaper then added on- does a ton of stuff himslef and he woodworks and builds old hotrods too- all around, jack of all trades, handyman.

Wow I'm impressed with some of the pop rebuilds I've seen on the Portal. But a 5th wheel from the ground up way cool.

7 months of labor.. I wonder what that works out to in man hours and at the going rate did he save any real money? Still it probably is a great thing to do yourself if you can! Bravo!

Something tells me that's not going to be his last project, either.

I like how he involved the whole family. It's truly theirs.

He also made made the instruments, recording equipment, played the music, and sang the song. And invented the internet so we could see the video. [:D]
