We made a rare trek 20 miles to Camping World. Found the adjustable model of the Valterra carrier tube, since our current one is cracked. It should work well, the previous one-piece one was a tad longer than the bumper, requiring an addition support saddle. We don't need the entire length for the sewer hose, so we can adjust it to the length that will work and still be all on the bumper. This one is white, not my first choice, but we have it.
We picked up a couple of other items, including a different style of hook to keep the chains off the ground. Ours don't routinely drag, but on bumpy roads, etc. it's a possibility. Current "cradle" needs to be placed over the ball before lowering the tongue jack as we hook up - most years, we each forget to do that about once.
