Last week I when I was mowing my lawn I had a brain fart and forgot that the power was hooked up to my camper setup in my backyard. Over the wire I went.

End result is I have to replace the 30 amp connector on the end of the cord and replace the 15-30 dogbone adapter

When the blades hit the 30 amp connector on the camper it separated the connection and threw it and the dogbone out with a good clunk.

The connector got pretty well chewed up and the terminals are beyond hope. E dogbone may be able to be salvage now that I calmed down long enough to really look at it.

There is no damage to the extension cord it was plugged into infact, I have a power strip plugged in so I can use my laptop and charge my phone..

You're damned lucky your eyes aren't lit up and you don't have a new hairdo! [:O]I am truly amazed I haven't done that myself, to be honest...have come close a few times, but that only counts in horseshoes! Glad you only have to repair the pup!

Been there, done that. Now, where did I put that darn T-shirt?

The thing is, the cord is orange, it's because the darn grass keeps growing over it.

Exactly...mine is orange, too...and every time I forget to move it, I really want to kick myself because, hello, stupid, you're mowing the grass because it is getting high and what does it do when it grows. It hides the damn extension cord!

    Just an update.

I finally got around to it. I ordered a new plug from Amazon and put it on the cord this am. Of course the cord in now about 2.5 feet shorter than it was.

The 15 amp dogbone survived although, I had to reshape the 30 amp terminals a litltle.

Success!! :) "LET THERE BE LIGHT ONCE AGAIN!!"

Which plug did you order? I have the same problem, except it was the PO's son that got this one. He even unplugged it before cutting grass....just forgot to move it back to the Pup.

Glad I have never done anything that silly. Except for calling the local cable TV provider back twice in two years because I got into the cable with a rototiller.

Thats about as bad as the guy that ran over the electric fence wire with the lawn mower. He said he couldn't let go of it and it knocked him down while still hanging on to the lawn mower. Said just before he passed out he could have swore, the lawn more started loping like it had a full race cam in it. When he woke up the mower had ran out of gas and died and some how he was free of the hot wire. Said he hurt all over but was OK except for a slight twitch in his right eye and a permanent muscle spasm in his left butt cheek. LOL
