While no, not in my circumstance, but remember, not all pop ups have a furnace. Even when I get the TV rebuild done, I am torn on whether or not to use the furnace. I primarily camp off grid and have to haul my own power in. I'd rather not run a generator at night, or gamble on whether the batteries can run my CPAP, AND furnace all night long. This would be a much smaller concern if developed campground with power and water sites were plentiful and available near where I wanted to be. But since 2008 3 of the 5 most easily reached state parks with campgrounds near me have been closed down. No new ones are being developed.

I will have to try this mod. I use mine for tent camping. Usually an electric space heater in the pup since I always camp with hookups. I hate using the furnace, it is loud and I need to still move the thermostat. The vent blows directly towards it so it never really years up the pup.
