We just "rescued" a 1984 Coleman Cape Cod that is in amazing condition. My husband got it at a yard sale this past weekend from a neighbor for a mere $275! After we get it cleaned and registered, we're ready to go. We've never had a pop-up before, so we're a little bit excited. We were backpackers before we had our kids, so this is going to be a different kind of adventure. We have 2 boys - 4 1/2 and 2 1/2 - who are very excited about the prospect of camping and going somewhere fun!
The upholstery, foam, screens, floors and the kitchen stuff are in amazing condition. Lights all work, and it has new tires. We haven't tried the stove yet, but we'll probably need to get all new hoses before we fire it up. I had to do some repair on some of the fabric that I think had dry-rotted, but since I'm pretty good with a sewing machine (and some very tedious handsewing), it now looks as good as new (from a distance, you can't tell that I fixed it).
Have popup...will travel...
