We have tent camped for years and decided a camper would be better with a 6 year old (actually I can't stand the heat anymore. This is a 2006 we just bought 3 days ago. We wanted a bumber trailer until we saw this and fell in love with it. We can't wait to try it out and are positive we will get plenty of use out of it this year, even if it's just in the back yard.

I can't see it. All I see is a bunch of trees.

Ya know, it crossed my mind when I bought it, that I may just have a few too many one night and not be able to find it.

I really like that storage on the front. Is that an aftermarket paint & tent scheme? I didnt' know Jayco had camo like that. :)

Actually that thread is what made me buy it. I talked to the guy on the phone and he gave me the model number and that thread is what came up when I searched, from there I found your pics on PhotoBucket. From what I have read, 2006 is the only year Jayco made the 10c and there aren't very many. It's all factory, paint, 4-wheeler rack, and all. We paid a little more than we would have for a similar size popup but considering the features and it being so unique we got a great deal. I was already redneck but now everyone knows. [:D]

    Sounds like our story.
I started out looking for a $500-800 truck camper. Then decided maybe a $3500-5000 TT.Ours was on diplay and we kept gravitating back to it.That was August of '06-the only year they made them like you said.
The g/f phoned the next day and made the deal over the phone.

Now I want to camo my pickup to match.

Just sold my 10Y (identical platform, but not camo) and used it almost exclusively for boondocking in no-mans-land with my ATV or dirtbikes. My Polaris Xplorer 500 filled the front rack completely, so that required storing anything else bulky in the TV. It rode absolutely fine up there, but it can be heavy on the tongue. Be absolutely sure your rig can handle that much tongue weight. I was pushing 1000 lbs of tongue weight with 2 propane tanks, 2 6-volt batteries, my ATV, and custom roof rack with solar panels/kayak/paddle board.

Right before I sold it, I removed the stock rear bumper and fab'd up a heavier gauge bumper out of 4x4 square tube steel and added additional bracing out of 2in angle iron welded to crossmembers in the frame. All of this was done so that I could be confident in the rear hitch when carrying a 3rd dirt bike or towing my boat and camper to the lake. My wife was getting tired of the tent noise at night while sleeping and I was getting tired of setup/take down ritual. I sold it and bought a front deck toyhauler instead. I've had 6 different tent trailers over the last 15yrs and the 10Y was my favorite because it was made from the factory to go places most other trailers can't or shouldn't.

I can't see it mainly for the PHOTOBUCKET logo on my screen here haha...

I have the 2008 STARCRAFT RT14 that is almost the same as what you have...

Got mine back in 2009 and it does all I need it to do...

I love the 5x8 front deck... Between that and truck bed I can bring along a ton of camping gear and items...

I am loaded down pretty good heading for my OFF-ROAD camping locations...
