If you are using oil based paint, you may want to consider adding Penetrol to it. Penetrol will make it flow better and leave fewer roller marks.

Will look into that it is getting a base primer ... just applied rustoleum elastomeric reflectivity paint to roof and can't look at it directly in sun that stuff is great.

I would also use the smaller banana roller. For some reason it gives a smoother finish. Also dont forget to use tape or something to take the fuzz off the rollers. Nothing worse then a roller that sheads.

I'm not familiar with that camper. What is the material that you will be painting?

If it is aluminum, good idea to rub it down with vinegar, (keeps the paint from cracking after it dries)we used to do that aboard ship when I was in the Navy

Aluminum needs special prep and primer. That's why I asked.

I just re-did my 1995 Jayco roof .Re-sealed and painted with outdoor semi gloss 2 coats .It was the best outdoor paint I could get for $43 a gallon and I rolled the big areas with 3/8 in. nap roller and brushed the small spaces. It really looks nice.

The paint I used did not require primer even on bare metal .I was prepared to use etching primer but the directions said I didn't have to . We'll see how long it last.
