Thought I'd spruce it up a bit and paint the wheels.

Take them off, scrub them well. Tape off the rubber and valve. I used Rustoleum flat black. The same as I used on my frame and trim.

I like the plain utilitarian look.

By the look of those tires, I would replace them.

No special paint just Rustoleum black gloss paint in a can. Tires were just dirty. They only have a couple thousand miles on them

What's wrong with the tires? They just look dirty but I don't see any cracks or reason to replace them. Do you?

Maybe it is just dirt. But if they are more than 5 years old they should be replaced regardless how good they look.

Not to change the topic in this thread (BTW, I like the look of the rims), but yes, please pay attention to age and distance on the tires. We learned it the hard way last year, on the old pup - we depended on our memory for total mileage and had a blow-out at the end of the second season on the tires. While construction debris may have contributed, we now keep track of the travels miles in a book, along with all the upkeep on the pup.

Nobody likes my tires? They are not quite 2 years old and only around 2k miles. There is no dry rot, cracks, plenty of tread, no uneven wear. They are or I should say just dirty. I'll have to get a pic on here of them all shined up.

the wheels look great! i've spray painted the steel wheels on my TV, and they looked much better.

as for the tires, that spray foam armour all stuff works good for cleaning them up. DW likes it when i do her white letters with comet and a scrub brush, followed by armour all. makes em look great

I think my trailer had more than 5 pounds of dirt. It was filthy from sitting at work. Got it all cleaned up and armor alled the tires. Looking much better

I love your tires. Tire envy. Wish ours were that big. We have the lowriders... And the wheels look awesome! [;)]
Coated ours last year when servicing the bearings...
