Very nice State Park!! Two Smores Up! The Campsites: Not too close, clean and well kept. Lots of them too, no shortage of campsites here. Pretty much level and paved sites. Some sites have tent pads, so if you are wanting to set up a tent be sure to let them know in advance because not all the sites can have tents. Heavily wooded with trees and lots and lots of palmettos. Water and Electric hook ups. Bath houses were cleaned and well kept. I loved the palmetto designs in the wood work detail. Laundry also available at the bath houses. Attractions: Water playground out of this world! Canoe rentals (first come first serve) and canoe trails. Wildlife: perfect habitat for black bears. Nature trails. Fishing. Geocaching. Boat launch. Area attractions: Visit Avery Island (about 30mins away) home of the Tabasco sauce. Take a tour and see how tabasco is made. Vermillionville (about an hour away) a place where you can see what old timey Cajun life was really like. We had a blast when we went last year and would love to go back. You will not be disappointed.
