Nice campground 5 miles north of Greenville SC. Spend a few days in Greenville as tourists. Impressed!! They've embraced their past, not tearing down any old building and putting up a Dollar General or Titles for Cash. The downtown is classic historic. Nice shops and restaurants. Beautiful bike trail (paved) that runs for 13 miles north to Travelers Rest. The campground was clean, well shaded, clean showers and bathrooms. Folks in a nutshell you can camp at alot worse locations and campgrounds. Will go back!!

DW and I camped a weekend there and what a great place! $18/ a night with 30 amp 20 amp and water at each site. Dump station at entrance. Beautiful location. Greenville is unbearably hot in the summer so plan for late spring and fall. Super clean and well matained shower/bathrooms. FREE, YES FREE firewood. All they ask is take what you need for that day only. There is a tip box if youre so inclined. DW and I live an hour away in Asheville so its just right for a weekend. Shopping is 2+ miles away but far enough away so you cant see or hear it. Gonna try Kings Mountain SP next then OFF TO GRANDFATHER MOUNTAIN HIGHLAND GAMES!!! YEAH!!!

It was camping at Paris Mt back in 09 that introduced us to staying at State Parks...that led to us getting another Pop up (4th) which in turn led to the HTT. Love the SC SPs, already have 5 reservations for this year.... [:D]

Spent last weekend at Paris Mountain State Park. Host had to point out the truck was a little in the road as we were setting up and trying to determine how far back we could go with the camper. We just got there! Sites are a good size, so you're not on top of your neighbor. Our site had power only, no water; which was stated on the website. I did check the faucet when we got there. When we were leaving Sunday, my son checked, and we had water. A lot of tent campers so the facilities were used a good bit. Not a problem until Sunday morning when they ran out of toilet paper. I never saw anyone cleaning the rest rooms. but we were gone a good bit. Firewood was still free; but they ran out from what we saw. We brought our wood.

Sierra Nevada Brewery is a good stop, but a little trip from the park. Take the tour, if you can get on. Restaurant is good there, but has a long wait. If you walk through the restaurant to the back deck, grab a table and you can order food and beer from the bar area. Drop by Bold Rock Cidery, also. Had dinner in Greenville at Gringo's Mexican.
