If you have never been to Petit Jean State Park near Morrilton Arkansas, put it on your wish list. This park offers something for everyone. Highly recommended!

We're going there in August (yeah, I know...HOT!) My in-laws were there 20 years ago, and hope to rekindle some memories.
Does the park have bike paths for gentle riding? Is the park mostly for hiking and walking? I know the small lake doesn't allow swimming, but wondered if I should take my Portabote along to paddle around.
Thanks in advance for your input.

Petit Jean is a great park! You can take a small boat on the lake. We went in March of this year. It has great hiking trails for the family. The rv camp sites on the lake are the best. We reserved #14. We had trouble with our trailer and had to stay in the cabins. But, the site we had was beautiful. Do not hesitate to go to this state park. It is one of Arkansas's best parks.
