Petoskey state park.

I'll be heading to Petoskey state park in august for the first time. Wondering if anyone has been there and what are your thoughts? I am going with my 2 year old son. What's nearby for children besides the beach?

we were there last month.

beach is great, sunset is amazing..there is a nice park downtown for the kids and nice bike trails. The area is a bit of a tourist trap, but there are a few ice cream shops as well as some nice shops to see.

I prefer camping out of town in the woods..
