Two years ago, we purchased a PU from a posting at my sons job for $900. It was a 90 Jayco J Series 1007. In pretty good shape, just had 1 cable broken and needed a SERIOUS cleaning. We used it several times and loved it. This past month, my friend was upgrading and sold us their Jayco J Series 1406(?) for $500. It is HUGE compared to our last one. Has heat AND air which is a big upgrade, but does need new canvas. I think we still got a pretty good deal.

I agree $$$$$$ was the final issue.
we looked at many travel trailers before the pup, realized that the roominess if thats a word and cost was the best.
also the tow weight with our suv. we have a relly small pup comparatively but it still has a more roomy feeling than most 0f the TT's we looked at. The only thing ours does'nt have is a toilet. but that we can work around. Oh and an A/C but we live in colo so I think we will be good

We bought ours, a 1997 Coleman Cheyenne, last month from an older couple who responded to a WTB ad placed on Craigslist. We paid $2500 and the trailer is like new. They never traveled with kids and the full bunk looks unused. They included bedding, microwave, all water and electric connections, all linens, original paperwork, even a portapotty. Came with AC and an awning and a great deal by NADA price. They were on Craigslist looking for a TT to upgrade to when they came across my posting so it worked out good for both parties. We picked it up at the campground they were staying at where it was parked next to their new 39ft TT. We are going back to that campground on saturday to try it out.

Paid $400 last February for our '68 Starcraft Starmaster8. Needs new canvas, but it functions as-is. Figured we'd start out with an old beater, and get the SPUTs out of the way with it. Pix in the gallery.

    New 2008 Jayco 1207 for $7288.

Went new because there is hardly any used ones for sale around here. When I do see them, they are overpriced and scooped up right away or really beat up and still want premium price.

I appreciated the good service and knowledge from my dealer as well as a detailed orientation and full warranty.

Came with RVQ, AAR, Awning, Spare Tire, Furnace, 3-Way Fridge, Dual propane tanks with auto switchover, and outside shower among others.

Going for first trip (State Park 15 Miles away) next weekend.

I still have a lot of accessories to get for the pup, but will be doing it slowly and keeping an eye out at the garage sales this summer. I have most of the basics from my tenting days, so most of the things I want are creature comforts rather than necessities.

Hi, I bought my 1987 Coleman Sequoia last year for $200. Canvas is in great condition. I think it's that Evolution 3 canvas. The roof inside is a little soft in some spots which will need help eventually, but went camping 3 times last summer and just popped it up from a very harsh winter and there was no water, mildew or any new damage so I am happy. I have 3 camping trips this summer planned so spending $200 has been the best and eventual roof repair will be well worth it since that's all it needs. I'm putting new tires on it next week. Old post, but I'm just so excited that it made it thru this winter!

2004 Jayco QWEST 12A in excellent (as far as I can tell) condition for $5000. Since it was our first purchase I'm sure we paid more than we could have, but it was still a lot cheaper than buying new.

1995 Coleman Niagra, $3750, too much, plus additional fix-it costs, $1500, too much! We still love it but have moved on to doing our own repair work.

Bought my 1st pup, a 2001 Jayco 14SO in great condition, for $4150. It was in the middle of what the NADA guide suggested. I was happy for what all I got. Can't wait to take it out.

$1350 for a 1995 Palomino Stallion. Very good shape overall but with a few issues. Nothing major and so far all within my limited ability to fix. We've been out twice so far since we bought it last November. Absolutely love it. I've learned so much and have no doubt avoided a lot of trouble just by reading the posts here on the portal. thanks everyone for all of your wisdom!
