I found a page that had a map of states that allow/disallow it. Most eastern states prohibit it.
Maybe add a hot tub too!
I'll put that in the tiki-pup
Landing that helicopter on the roof must be a trick.
MY Tiki Pup will be much prettier when finished! I got lotta Leis, signs already. Just have to haul out old sewing machine for valances, seat covers etc. Now giving it back to the original poster, No intent to hijack topic. Will show before & after eventually.
OK guys need suggestions. The marker lights on our camper are the standard 2 X 4 inch SignalStat lights with reflector lens. To replace the complete light with a good LED unit, these are my direct replacements (but no reflector lens)
So I just replace all my marker lights, 11 of them (5 rear, 2 each side and 2 front) or find a "good" LED panel to modify my old ones.
Do you like the clear instead of colored lens?
Can you suggest a better looking DOT light?
Can you suggest a good (more than 8 diode panel) to fit under the old lens.
New lights are about 10 dollars each at a local NAPA store.
These are the Optronics units I'm going to use on mine. These have black "bodies", but a colored lens. They have ones with White bodies as well.
You don't need a reflector with the LED types.
I prefer the colored lenses
It would be great if there was a nice, low profile, regulated drop in panel for existing ones. But I haven't found any.
The Optronics units are 3 LED, but I think you'll find that they work very well.
I replaced my tail lights with Optronics LED units. I was a bit worried that they only had 2 LEDs. But they're brighter than the 3157 bulb types and clearly visible in direct sunlight. The 3157 units were garbage.
I was thinking about doing the same thing you did (swapping the guts) for my tail lights. But found nearly direct replacements. So I went with that. Figuring I could always do the "gut swap" later if I was disappointed.
The "gut swap" would be using a board I designed and built using a single under driven 10W red LED and my own controller. A 10W red LED driven at full spec is F*CKING BONKERS bright.
I have Bargman lights so they have a simple LED upgrade kit .... panel and new lens. Got all my reds on order, got a great deal. Still shopping for ambers.
I did spend the 60 bucks for the factory Norcold 619020 fan kit. I know the thermo switch is usually about 13 dollars and a computer fan is cheap, but I just when for the factory kit. Maybe I will spend less time of the roof not having to make things up.
What retrofit kits? Do you have a link?

Facebook is not for everyone. Especially me.
Here is the trailer link .....
Bargman #59 lights have a twist in bulb socket.
The kit just plugs into the bulb socket and put the lens on. You don't have disturb the base.
Thank you for the advice. But I'm not looking at "how" to do these. Just a fun thread about what to do next. I've already done a bunch of mods already.
I don't think they'll work on my camper. I thought they were internal boards that use the existing lens.
I'll either have to replace the whole light itself or rely on those cheapie LED drop in bulbs. Which I'm averse to.
I'm not trying to talk you into the cheap drop in bulbs, but for whatever it's worth.... in nearly five years, I think I've had one bulb fail.
That's pretty good. Yours must not be the "real" cheapies then.
Nice one, Josh!
I did the filtered water spigot. I'm just waiting for a valve to arrive that will let me tap into the cold water line.
Show some pic's what you have done so far, we have a 2 bunk hybrid 20 yrs old, got it 3 years ago did some repairs needed to be done. Now our tub cracked may be due to never using it or just old. :-( I am thinking making curtains for by the dinette as gets so bright in mornings.
