As others have said...The RV business is nuts...Dealer inventory is way down.
I have a few models i have been eyeballing daily and magically their prices have gone up.
They are trying to cash in while the demand is up.

    For your reading enjoyment.

Estimated totals industry wide for all types in 2020 321,600. (Take it with a grain of salt or two, the RVIA is always super optimistic, and they lost some time with shutdowns due to Covid, but Around Elkhart and Goshen they did not go off the deep end like many areas of the country and closed down for 3 months, more like 6 weeks) Through the end of April they're at 107,000.

To put that anticipated 321,600 in perspective. A 36.1 % drop from the record in 2017.
    2019 - 406,000
    2018 - 483,000
    2017 - 504,600
    2016 - 430,000

They built 321,000 in 2013, and averaged 363,000 per year for the 5 year period between 2003 and 2007 up to the recession, with lowest year being 320,000 in 2003.

Maybe the rich are buying them up for a activity during the pandemic and the avg guy is backing off with financial constraints.
Around me...Inventory is way low and dealers are raising prices to cash in.

Actually Covid hit right in their yearly sweet spot as far as sales are concerned. Most of the RV shows are in Dec/Jan/Feb and typically that's what drives the sales. The factories ramp up Feb/Mar/Apr/Jun to fill the orders from the RV shows. Add to that they were trying to drop the inventory since early 2019 as they had a glut since 2018, expected a decline in sales through 2020 that they predicted last year, and factories were scaling back production all year. Unemployment was up last year in northern Indiana starting 2nd quarter all the way until Covid hit.
They will not drop prices. Even though sales were down in 2019 over 2018 by a solid 29%, Revenue was up by 11%. I think that's because they jacked the prices up and not because they found some miracle method of lowering costs. You can only cheapen a product so much.

My PUP is 23 years old and it's getting hard for me to maintain it. The next things to go need professional shop tools and lots of strength. After 3 awesome trips this summer I listed it. There were over 35 emails of people wanting to see and and 5 very urgent. I sold it for more than I paid for it and had bid-ups to $500 more than asking. Super hot! People wanted it immediately to get out of the house. Now I save the money and look at something newer in the fall when they are pennies on the dollar.
