Thanks. The good thing is the hood can be replaced so no big deal. Just a PITA.

Tree branch, a big one, came down on the hood of my truck. I had just left home, only had driven 100 yards when it happened. Three more feet and it would have gone through the windshield. Good thing I had used the bathroom before I left the house.

Only the good was damaged.

Ouch. Sorry to hear that man. Ya, that would have been quite the splinter... At least trucks are easier to fix, or replace, than people are.

30 years or so ago my brother lived in Houston. Stopped behind a car at a stop sign and had a car behind him, heard a tree crashing beside his car but had no way to move and it fell on his car putting his passenger in hospital for a week and wearing a halo and cervical/spinal brace for 6 months. Pretty much missed my brother.

Yup but all fix now. I just have to try to get money out of Amtrak for the damage. They are supposed to keep those trees under control. This one was dead and they had not taken it down. The township had even contact them about the tree.
