I am getting ready to head for the hills for some timeout. I have a new bag awning on order, but still waiting for it to come in. I took the old awning that came with the pup, and had ripped off on the road. and was missing the bag. I took the canopy that was in fair shape, sewed on some reinforcement, and a new Keder strip to use as an awning.
Now for the Question. I plan on tossing rope over the roof, and staking it down to brace the roof so that i am not trying to pull the roof off to one side.

I did not buy a new bag. If I want the awning up, I slide the Keder into the track then Set the posts, and guy rope them. When done with the awning I take it off the pup, and fold it up, and put it away. This type of awning has no frame / rigid stretcher poles.
