The jayco qwest doesn’t have much to work with. 2 holes in some angle iron. Anyone know what is supposed to be used to attach a propane tank ?

some use the holes on the bottom of the bracket it is sitting in and line up with the holes in the bottom of the tank then use nuts and bolts to secure the bottle.

I contemplated that. I bought a battery tie down thinking I could go from the front to the back. But oops the tank bulges down so a straight rod won’t make a clear shot front to back. Bolts and butterfly washers will likely be the solution. Thank you

My Qwest has the same setup. Two bolts with lock washers is all I use. Works great.

Even the new small Jaycos use the bolt on method. I don't like this mounting as the tank will rock

Tank wont rock if the bolts are tight... My pups tank mounted that way and my parents old TT mounted the same way and it was towed all over Ontario, Quebec, UpState N.Y and most of the Canadian East Coast..

Cut a piece of ply wood to put in there to stand the tank on. Put some 'J' hooks on it to hold the tank down.

Look at the newer Jaycos, when filled they will rock even with the bolts tight. We see this every day they don't sit flat on the angle brackets
