Prospect Mountain Camp Ground

Aug 5, 2015
We stayed there for our first official weekend in the new camper in June 2015. It was a really nice place. Super friendly and helpful staff. Clean bathrooms. Strict enforcement of speed limits by both staff and other campers. Pet friendly. Lot's of dogs. Family friendly. Lot's of kids. The weekend we went happened to be their Halloween weekend. We brought candy to pass out and the kids brought their costumes. Sorely underestimated the amount of kids that would be there though. They split the kids up into 2 groups, I ran out of 3 bags of candy by the end of the 1st group. Great activities. Friday night movies on the Safari field. Well stocked camp store.

About the only complaint I have was that the firewood was wet and difficult to get burning.

We recently bought a 2009 Jayco Jay Series 1207pop up after not camping for over 15 years. Our first weekend was at Prospect Mountain and we enjoyed every moment of it. Very nice quiet camp Ground. It was Dinosaur weekend and they had Jurasic park showing on outdoor screen very nice. Learned a few things we still need for next outing. Still deciding where our go to location will be for local weekends (we live in Springfield, MA.) heading to Thousands Trails (Sturbridge RV Resort ) 1st week of June to see how that is. Does anyone know much about that place? Use to go there years ago.
