Anyone else have a problem with the radio constantly coming on and running the battery down? I tempted to take it out completely.

I don't even have a radio, so I can't add any practical advice, but in a basic sense, can you determine why it's coming on randomly? Is it located in a vulnerable place where you or someone else is brushing up against it and inadvertently turning it on? Can you add a cutoff switch that interrupts the power so it doesn't come of for any reason, until you want it on?

Ours comes on when traveling depending what we have loaded there (usually a rubbermaid tote) which shifts into the power button (I assume). Ours came with a removable face plate so now we just leave the face off of it when traveling. Conveniently (sarcasm) ours is located in the cabinet next to the door, which puts it about a foot off the floor and where anyone can brush up against it walking in/out of the camper.

If it is coming on while the camper is in storage, you should disconnect the battery to avoid all a parasitic (and paranormal ) drain. If it is coming on while you are using the camper either replace it (if you don't like the radio) or install a power switch to it as stated above.

Well, I have no idea what radio you have or are referring to, but, it may have an alarm function. If so, turn the alarm off.

Disconnecting the battery is the way to go.

Do you know your phone come with a FM tuner? There is an apps for it. It requires an earphone to use as FM antenna. No internet connection is required.

If your radio is like most, it's drawing nearly half an amp while it's off. The radio draws power to keep the clock running and any pre-sets stored.
I put a switch on mine, so when it's off, it's off.
With it switched, it can't "turn on" and it won't draw any power.

I have a 2016 Aliner Expedition and it seems anytime it's powered the radio comes on. I lifted the dinette seat above it and disconnected the power to it.

If you want to keep pre sets put a rrlay and switch on the acc power wire typically red. If you want to kill power completely put the relay on the ground wire.
