We're leaving for Arkansas in three weeks. We'll be rockhounding, and we have some specific areas where we'll be but have a completely flexible schedule. We're looking for recommendations of state parks, county parks, and boondocking areas that folks have enjoyed staying at. We are possibly roaming over most of the state, so we welcome recommendations for anywhere in the state. We are set to completely boondock, do not have to have electricity. Thanks!

Beaver Lake in NW Arkansas is a wonderful lake and area. There are several camping areas (most are COE) all around the lake.

Lake Wilhemena State Park. No hook ups, nice lake and the Talahina drive into Oklahoma is beautiful.

Stay up in the hills and not in the flat lands to avoid Mosquitos.
Look at the Forestry CG’s also as there are several but they don’t offer elec.
Lots of Corp of Engineer CG’s also that have Elec/H2O.
Take a look at some of the Buffalo River CG’s.
Arkansas has a lot to offer but prepare for humidity here in our great state in Summer time.

Be aware of the weather. There has been plenty of rain and bad weather thruout the region with plenty of flooding

Brett, I'm in the NW corner of Ar. Been known to manage a few patients on vents as well. :)

Lived in Osceola (NE) for a while back in the 70s. I had never seen mosquitoes that big before and haven't since.
