Is the pilot light blue or sort of an orange yellow color. Blue is better and means the gas is working efficiently. It may just need a good cleaning.

Maybe a better baffle between the upper and lower compartments would be a first step. The heat from the flame maybe just floating around both compartments and need to be controlled. Thats why we do Refrigerator Fan Mods.

Is there a separate temp control for the gas. Maybe you just don't have it turned to cold.

Yes there is a temp control for gas and it is turned on high.As soon as this heat settles dowm ill pull the shop vac and compressor out and blow it all out and remove both vent vovers and see if I can find any Blockages.
Ill also check out the mod thanks for the tips.Been way to many years since ive played with one of these.
BUt At least we had a good trip out to the lake for a long weekend.

Just spoke with the original owner. The Ref hasnt been fired up in 10 years so im thinking a major cleaning and removal of all illegal Immigrants from the system is in order.
Its 91 degrees out sao dont think its happening today.
Hope you all have a great camping season and stay safe.
Eventually Ipp post some pics of my trip to the lake this summer.
I have a nice spot on Lake Margerth right next to the beach.
Easy to keep an eye on the kids and they claim i only go there to watch the Bikinis lol.
    STAY SAFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blew it all out with the compressor then ran the shop vac on it.Used a needle and cleaned the burner openings. It now cools to 28 degrees on gas.
