So when I click on Chrome the new window opens and is mostly off the screen.

Yes, I can grab it, slide it into place or maximized it but it last placement ain't being saved.

This is relatively new but have been having a similar issue opening tax doc .pdf files while at a web site, the new screen is opened with just part of page title showing at the bottom of the screen.

    Help restore my settings, Thanks

No problems here. Use Chrome all the time.

I don't think this is a Chrome issue per se but my computer not remembering/storing the last position.

As I tell the folks that call me for computer support, re boot before calling, I'll follow my own advise!

Did you check your screen resolution?

Today's reboot fixed the issue of the browser not remembering its x,y position or size. Extra windows have been poorly located for at least 2 months and a reboot didn't fix that.

My browser now remembers its last state (x,y and size once again). [:D]

I fought this issue with IE and my dad's machine years ago, at that time I remember using Regedit and changing some key value (well beyond my pay grade), his machine was always loosing his desktop settings and colors. Still have the cheat sheet I used to walk him through C:\Scanreg /restore and pick a date he didn't have the issue.
